Overview
This course introduces the students to the definitions of epidemiology and biostatistics, its scope, applications, common terms used with special reference to disease transmission, portals of exit and entry. Students will cover epidemiological concepts in regard to different types of epidemics, disease prevention and control and the basic statistical methods of data collection, analysis, interpretation and utilization.
